y be the age of Juan
condition:
Juan is trice as old as Pedro so
y= 3x
sum of their ages is 36
x+y= 36
but y=3x
so:
x+3x=36
x= 9..................... this is the age of the younger Pedro
y=3x= 3(9)= 27........ the age of Juan
